SPB Radio released!

SPB has released an application that lets you listen to your favorite radio stations. SPB Radio features a modern touch-interface with adaptive skins and on-screen controls. The application has a built-in catalog with over fifteen hundred radio stations, categorized by genre, geographical region, and language.

SPB Radio allows searching the built-in catalogue by name of station, keeping a list of favorites, and easily adding more custom radio stations to the catalogue. While playing, SPB Radio displays the current station’s name and bit rate. SPB Radio makes it possible to enjoy the most pressing international news, live sports, talk, and entertainment shows in remarkable digital radio sound quality. SPB Radio delivers the diverse voices of the world’s multitude of live radio stations directly to the speakers of mobile phones: anyplace, anytime.

SBSH Go Touch Updated to version 1.1

SBSH has just updated us with a very exciting news that they have updated the Go Touch, a popular RSS reader for Windows Mobile devices to version 1.1. This new update brings in an array of very exciting features:

  • Google Reader – Automatically sync your Google Reader content, read-state syncing and more!
  • Auto-Updates – Far better auto-syncing logic and implementation. Use time based or interval based
  • More Gestures – Swipe between articles like a real newspaper, enlarged article view display and more!
  • Windows Mobile 6.5 – Code and design improvements for better usability with new WM6.5 devices

HTC Leo, Athena and Thoth claim to be synonyms

HTC handsets never get to go out of news. The latest one is about HTC Leo which has glued quite an amount of attention of late. We mentioned about its speculated specs earlier. And the latest one is that HTC Leo seems very similar to one of the leaked handsets, HTC Thoth which is said to be an Athena successor.

Instead of it being very much linked to HTC Universal, now Leo is claimed to be HTC Athena. The HTC Leo is said to be larger than smartphones and may be termed as MID(Mobile Internet Device).Let’s see what happens at the final unveil.

HTC Touch Pro 2 to touch USA with T-Mobile

The Touch Pro 2 launch by T-Mobile USA – the news hasn’t really been ‘untouched’ by the mob world..but then, its now official. The handset’s soon going to be released by one of the largest telecommunications network in US on Aug 12. Present in mocha finish, this will make its entry into US for the first time.

Acer set to race in mobile industry

One of the biggest  computer manufacturer is set to clash with the smartphone makers by producing about 2.5 million mobiles in 2010. With plans to explore into China as its growth strategy, the corporation is very ambitious to have its place in world’s top five smartphone makers.

The company who has its subsidiaries in Asia, Australia, Europe and others wants to ship 20 million smartphones per year by 2014. Aymar de Lencquesaing, the president of Acer surely faces a tough game from HTC, having similar strategies.
