Ener-Jewels is a nicely designed jewel matching game that has four modes:
- "Infinity" is a never-ending game. Play it at your own pace and see if you can max out the Ener-Jewels scoreboard.
- "Power Up" is the classic match-3 game, but with power-ups! Earn power-ups to keep playing after your jewel grid is depleted.
- "Time Racer" gives you more time whenever you generate power. Battle the clock to advance to the next level!
- "Burst" pits your jewel-matching skills against a 60 second countdown timer.

When I first installed the free trial of Ener-Jewels, I also installed the trial for Jewels. The screenshots of this one looked prettier, but I was wondering if either of them would play well. Ener-Jewels did not disappoint! I can’t say the same for Jewels though – and I’m glad Jewels had a trial so that I didn’t have to waste $0.99 on it.
Ener-Jewels isn’t just pretty, it has smooth gameplay like Bejeweled, but without paying for the big name. I even paid $1.99 for Ener-Jewels and feel it was worth that. Even though it costs less now, I don’t feel cheated – this is a good game and a steal at the current price.
Here are some of the things I liked about Ener-Jewels:
* Nice graphics like Bejeweled – the gems look almost real!
* The jewels move and disappear smoothly – they don’t just snap to the next spot or instantly disappear
* The music and sound effects volume is configurable
* You can get manual hints and auto-hints, every so many seconds (that you configure)
* You can get a new board of jewels at any time in Infinity mode
* Different ways to play – this is actually four similar games for one price
* There are Power-Ups in one of the game modes – I don’t think any other jewel-matching game has them!
* There is a series of How-to-Play screens to get you started and you can look at them at any time
* The look and feel of this game is cheery, cool, and pretty – all at the same time! :)
It is missing a few things, but for what it has, I gladly paid $1.99 and would gladly pay that again after playing with it for the past month.

This phone is a work of art. It has everything on it..User interface, Text input, Web browser, Multimedia (Zune), Games (Xbox Live!!), Search (Bing Mobile),..I mean the list goes on man this is basically a computer To GO…lol.
This game is fun – I particularly like the v1.1 update that allows me to play my own music in the background. Kudos!
The graphics are great & the game is fun! Love it!
