Flaws in Photo Sharing in Windows Phone 7
As Windows Phone 7 is slowly reaching the masses, the holes in its making are slowly being exposed. One of its vices unraveled is the lack of resolution consistency while posting of photos to social networking websites such as Facebook. Look at what Paul Thurrott says:
“From an automatic photo sharing standpoint, you currently have only two options: Windows Live SkyDrive, which is a black hole (no one uses SkyDrive, so you’re pretty much sharing with no one), and Facebook, which is widely used. But in both cases, this automated upload of photos to the cloud is done in a manner that renders the photos semi-worthless for archival purposes. The Samsung Focus takes 5 megapixel photos (2560 x 1920 resolution), but when they’re auto-archived (to SkyDrive or Facebook), the resolution drops to 719 x 539. That’s not even close. That’s pathetic.â€
