HTC Smartphones don’t get short of carriers. The next are Verizon and Sprint who are rumored to launch HTC Pro 2 and Diamond 2. This would be good news and consistent with the reports a few months back of a late August date. one can only hope. also hope they set a reasonable price point.
Now, we’re moving from a dated but functional Motorola Q – lets have a discussion of the Diamond 2 vs the pro – I’d rather not have the bulk of the keypad if the touch pad is usable for a light to moderate texter. The screen is bigger on the pro. wonder if they’ll both have the 3.5 headphone connectors?
Verizon just dropped the online corporate prices of the original 2008 vintage HTC Touch Pro, Diamond and Samsung omnia to $99. last year’s hot XV6900(now dated) which came out at around $250 is now under $10. this is the best indicator yet that they’re about to release new models. And a little patience saves a lot – of course logic doesn’t help an early adopter at heart. Also good to see HTC learned it costs to restrict release for extended periods – so all major carriers should hopefully get the phones around the same time… again that’s assuming logic
