HTC beats Apple in phone sales, in Taiwan

HTC has surpassed Apple in terms of both sales and value in Taiwan. HTC claimed a 4.3% share of the Taiwan market in terms of sales volume compared with Apple’s 3.1%. For sales value, HTC had a 10% market share compared to Apple’s 3.9%. This marks the first time since August 2009 – when Apple introduced the iPhone 3GS in Taiwan – that HTC exceeded Apple in sales, said the sources.
