Financial problems get clouded over Microsoft: Q4 results showing the reality
The multinational PC giant MS Corp has got into troubled waters, as expected and the quarter four status just gave the ‘Windows’ product owner a reality check.
Along with the quarter results ending on June 30,2009, the company released the outcome of the fiscal year ending the same date. A quick synopsis is as follows:
For the quarter:
Revenue->(17%):$13.1 billion
Net Income->(30%):$3.05 billion
For the fiscal:
Revenue->(3%):$58.4 billion
Net Income->(18%):$14.57 billion
Though the economic downturn are one of the fine reasons to explain the unsatisfactory results, the company blames the PC market. With decline in XBox 360 shipments this year, the company’s shares were at $23.62 in after-hours trading with fall of about 7.6%.
