Windows Phone 7 upgrades dependent on Hardware partners

Windows Phone 7 series continues to be a ‘question mark’ for current Windows Mobile 6.5 users. As per what is happening on twitter, it all happens to be related to OEMs:

Question: Will customers that have recently bought 6.5 handsets be able to upgrade to WP7 if their device meets minimum spec?

Answer: It’s early days yet, and that’s really for our hardware partners to think about.

Let’s wait for these early days to culminate to have a more concrete answer.
