Price comparison company MoneySupermarket recently stole a march on its rivals and released the first car-insurance comparison application for UK customers with smartphones and tablets. For a long time, price comparison has been largely restricted to PCs or laptops but with this app it is possible to use your iPhone, iPad or Android device to check out the best quotes for car insurance. WP Marketplace – Branching Out

Windows Phone services are being launched in a load more countries this week, with the Windows Phone Marketplace now rolling out in (deep breath) Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Israel, Thailand, and Vietnam. Each of the affected countries can now customize the Windows Phone Marketplace storefront and can now include Widows Phone apps. The Nokia Lumia 900 has arrived on AT&T LTE network taking the Windows Phone ecosystem to a new level. And all the more so since the Lumia 900 is being offered on contract for a trifling $99 buy-in. But for such a low price, the Lumia, on paper at least, might not seem like a premium deal - a single core 1.4GHz CPU paired with a pretty low resolution 800 x 480 display. Nokia Lumia 610 in Philippines

Nokia has launched its latest Lumia Windows Phone handset, with the Lumia 610 now on sale in the Philippines at Nokia's store in Manila. The Nokia Lumia 610 was first unveiled at the Mobile World Congress MWC in February, one of the low-spec budget smartphones designed to run the Windwos Phone Tango OS, optimized to run on just 256MB RAM. Thus not every Windows Phone app will run on the new Lumia 610, though Nokia has officially confirmed that the new Skype 1.0 app for Windows Phone runs just fine.
