AT&T’s version of HTC Tilt 2 is now on sale online. The cost is $300 after rebate($50) for a 2-yr agreement. Its the new OS Windows Mobile 6.5 that runs on it.  The phone will price you $499 without any engagement with the carrier.

AT&T site has been updated with the images and specs of HTC Tilt  2. The smartphone is expected to come in the following weeks at $300 after a 50$ rebate and a 2-yr contract. HTC Pure is already on the board with all new Windows Mobile 6.5.

BGR  claims that the device would be put on sale on OCT 8 and grabs some troubleshooting tips to treat your Tilt 2 if it gets ‘tilted’(crashed). Comparison of HTC Tilt 2 with its counterpart- Pure is also being shown up.

HTC and One & Co, a design firm got merged in Dec 2008. The acquisition proves to be quite a success, says Gartner, “The pairing has helped HTC compete with powerhouse brands like Apple and Samsung.” The ‘people-centric’ approach is said as the substance of HTC’s innovative designs.

Android and Windows

Consistency is most important within a particular product line. HTC has two: Google Android and Windows Mobile phones. Its Windows Mobile devices come in dark, glossy finishes to appeal to a professional audience, while its Android phones often sport a playful "chin" or angled base. Those characteristics will stay separate, says Zellweger, meaning no chins for HTC Windows Mobile phones.

AT&T’s Android debutante – HTC Lancaster may have to take a back seat if rumors are to be believed. The theories behind the scenes are yet to be discovered since the Android market has been tempting many carriers of late. The good in the bad is that though Lancaster may have been deplored by folks at AT&T, they seem to be sanguine about the two Windows Mobile phones from HTC. The latest handsets to be linked with the company are- HTC Touch Pro 2 and Diamond 2 aka FORTRESS and WARHAWK respectively. AT&T showing a cold feet to Lancaster may not worry many clients since its specs were not much appreciated. Let’s see when the rumor gets an official approval. [...]

After much chitchat about Sprint, Verizon, the next carrier on the road is AT&T that has something interesting to share. The HTC Touch Pro 2 is supposed to be coded as Tilt 2, a successor of TyTN II.
