HTC Smartphones don’t get short of carriers. The next are Verizon and Sprint who are rumored to launch HTC Pro 2 and Diamond 2. The news spread from the Supply Chain Management people of HTC which have coded the Diamond 2 and Pro 2 as the XV6975 and the XV6875. With much rumors about Verizon relating to these handsets, Pro 2’s almost confirmed as to be on Verizon’s list when its pics were leaked recently. After incessant rumors relating to HTC’s new handsets and their expected resemblances, its shown by the user agent profile of XV6975 on Tweakers.net that Verizon’s XV6975 is neither HTC Touch Pro 2 nor possibly, Touch Diamond 2. With no keyboard and 480x800 screen resolution, the model name XV6975 seems like HTC Whitestone;leaving behind the possibility of it being Touch Pro 2. The Verizon's Touch Diamond looks exactly the same as the unbranded version of the Touch Diamond. Unlike other US carriers, they did not completly change the looks of the original HTC DIAMOND. That said, Verizon listened to the complaints of the original HTC Diamond owners regarding the battery life and they spruced up the capacity to 1340mAh, which is nearly 50% more than the original Touch Diamond battery.
