Update: Google Maps Mobile enters 3.3 version
The new version of Google maps is here. It mainly features easy sync of your Windows phone(or Symbian) with the desktop. The places you star on Google maps on your desktop get starred in your mobile counterpart too(and vice versa), thus making it easy to identify the addresses, e-mails, contacts and send the address of the location to others through an SMS.

HTC Mega clarified as HTC Touch 2; expected to unveil on Oct 6 with WinMo 6.5
HTC Mega rumors can relax for now. The official announcement was made in Taiwan which says that Mega will be the new HTC Touch 2. The new and the first Windows Phone will be revealed somewhere near Oct 6, which corresponds with the launch of the all new OS Windows Mobile 6.5. The unveil is speculated to take place in European and Asian markets and still needs to be verified for a final word on other info like price.

Update of Google Maps: Version 3.2.1
The Google Maps new version is here with some new tempting features and with some solved bugs that may have worried you previously. Have a glance at some of its ingredients:
- Layers are upgraded now; a tree of layer categories are being constructed on the “More Layers” list of layers. Wikipedia, MyMaps and Transit line are the new added layers.
- Use MyMaps and Google Maps by accessing your Google account through Google Maps
- Specified icons enable you to get to various reviews, photographs, business info, Wikipedia articles,etc through businesses or places of interest.
- Specialists around the world will present you their favorite places which you can access by logging to http://google.com/favoriteplaces.
- Search by category including point of view of business and other interests
- Option for additional result display
Now here are some of the bugs resolved:
- Crashes on Samsung i890, Nokia 5800 and N70 are fixed up(though screening of such on some carriers is still under process)
- Copy and paste feature for fields like Search, directions, and user name is re-enabled for Windows Mobile. For Symbian S60, bugs relating to shortcut keys have been done up with.

Iris Browser 1.1.9 released
Iris Browser is a web browser based on web-kit. Folks at Iris have released an updated version, which adds/fixes the following:
- Improved canvas support – curves, transparency fixes, and more
- Application cache support
- Some networking and javascript fixes
- Flash reliability fixes
- The link click animation has been removed, by popular request
- A security fix in SVG support
- Preliminary RTSP support and a Windows Media plugin. Also the beginning of HTML5 audio/video support (more to come here)
- Fixes for various iPhone sites, including Google calendar and reader
Verizon Touch Pro gets firmware update and GPS is now unlocked
Verizon Wireless is about to release an update for the Touch Pro, which now unlocks the GPS and also adds in visual voicemail.
Now, you will able to use GPS with Google Maps and won’t have to stick to Verizon’s app: VZ Navigator. To use Visual Voicemail, you will have to pay $3/month.
