Damn you Apple, Where is Windows Mobile?

Although a lot of people do agree to the fact that Windows Mobile is undergoing a tough time, but no one can simply rule (or ignore) them out from the mobile phone industry the way Apple just did. Apple, during the launch of their new iPhone 3Gs, showed the apps currently available for each platform, which I personally found very funny. summary There are a lot of odd things that can observed in the graph above:
  1. They completely IGNORED Windows Mobile which has nearly 20,000 applications available.
  2. Palm has thousands of applications too. There was a time, when they had the most amount of apps in the mobile phone market.
  3. Palm Pre can run all old Palm OS apps
  4. Nokia apps are much, much more than that too
  5. Apple has too many fart apps (pun intended)

Pikoblog has published some great looking pictures featuring the HTC TOUCH PRO 2 along with the iPhone 3G. Strikingly, the TP2 does not look that big as we initially thought it would be. It is just a little thicker than the iPhone 3G and both are about the same length. img_6587sm [...]

New lock screen New start 'menu': Actually, there  is no menu now NEW TODAY SCREEN: sliding panel interface now comes from Windows Mobile standard to Windows Mobile professional The first [...]

Dell in talks with China Mobile

16 April, 2009 Posted by As News (0) Comment
According to this article, Dell is in talks with the China Mobile to launch its first smartphone in China. Although, it is not a new news/rumor of Dell getting into the smartphone business, but we always thought they would targeting US market in first place and not China. I hope Dell is well acquainted with the zillion mobile-phone designs that can be found in China. They will have to come with something that stands out from the Cheapo $80 phones. Also, since the Dell is targeting a Asian market, it would make more sense to come out with a device with resistive screen and not capacitive like the iPhone as the Asians prefer to use the stylus for data entry (try entering Chinese characters [...]
