The Windows Mobile 6.1 equipped Smartbook that is an MID is here. Specs include 624MHz processor and 5 inch touchscreen with 800X480 resolution. While the battery life is quite good (1900mAh), the disappointment gets down to the OS and the fact that it cannot handle more than the WVGA resolution.

With WiMAX acting a nice competition to GSM and CDMA technologies, Samsung Mondi is here to prove its worth by making itself WiMAX enabled. But wait, its going to be cited only in three cities as of now-Vegas, Atlanta  and Portland.

If you thought Toshiba TG01 was a huge phone, think again. Meet the W100 MID, a full featured Windows Mobile phone. It features an unusually huge 4.3-inch screen that sports WVGA (800×480) resolution just like the recent HTC phones (Touch Diamond 2) and ASUS  P835. The display is (unfortunately) resistive like most Windows Mobile phones. The W100 MID comes with dual-cameras: one at the front (0.3MP) and another at the back (2MP). The front one is obviously used for video calls.

Marvell PXA310 powers this huge MID, which runs at clock speed of 800MHz. Storage-wise, it comes with 128MB RAM and 256MB ROM. For connectivity, you get built-in Bluetooth, WiFi, Edge and GPS. To power so many radios, it comes with a 2600mAh li-polymer battery which is pretty huge for a Windows Mobile phone. Audio-lovers will love it as it comes with a standard 3.5mm jack.

Oh, keep in mind that it just support these bands: 900, 1800 and 1900.
