Nokia is very established in China. With the wedding of Nokia and Windows Phone 7 platform the potential is just enormous. Today over 40% of mobile market in China, and you know they have lots of people over there, is dominated by Nokia. It is time to realize the eastern market full potential.
According to Baidu, China’s biggest search engine, 40% of mobile market is covered by Nokia, then 15% other and 9.69% by Samsung. HTC covers 7.06% of total mobile market in China.
Reuters reported via iPhone Gadgets, that
for next quarter of 2011 saying that Apple will overcome Nokia. Nokia has created the smartphone market in 1996 and reign it ever since. IPhone will not be the first though. [...]
TD-SCDMA Technology on high for HTC, ready to equip with China Mobile

Chinese Mobile Market has something to anticipate- TD-SCDMA technology(the one used for conversion of 2G into 3G) upgrade. Now the whole attraction is the MOU that’s signed between China Mobile(a Chinese carrier) and HTC Taiwan regarding the same. Here are some of the highlights:
- The nascent developed trends will first get into the Chinese market.
- Development of TD-LTE(Time Division Duplex Long Term Evolution)
- Target markets includes Chinese and of Taiwan as well
- Research on the mainland’s consumer market
Wang Jianzhou, the Chairman of China Mobile even went on to say that the company may introduce six TD-SCDMA handsets including one this year. China Mobile, that’s believed to have the largest GSM network hopes to hit the jackpot with the new deal with HTC.

Look’s like folks at Microsoft are doing the SWOT analysis of late because they have become very serious with their competitor’s strategy. The giant which displayed losses this financial year, is pretty much going in for some serious strategy development. The rumor is from the Taiwan Mobile Market that indicates Oct 1 as launch date of Windows Mobile 6.5 while mid of Q1 of 2010,i.e., Feb as the release date of Windows Mobile 7.
The MS may battle with Android first by releasing the 6.5 version at a cheaper rate in Oct while targeting the iPhone-based platform in Feb by introducing Windows Mobile 7. The strategy may be out of blue for many, but Microsoft’s actions will determine the real word. [...]

China Mobile app store – taking 50% of total developer’s revenue!

China Mobile is launching its own Windows Mobile AppStore very soon. However, compared to other application stores who just take 30% of total revenue, they will be taking away 50% of the total revenue generated by the developer.
The Mobile Market is now being developed by the China Mobile-controlled Aspire Technologies and China Mobile’s Guangdong branch, the source said. It is likely to go live in September, almost certainly making it the world’s first carrier-operated storefront. UK-based Vodafone has planned to open a store by year-end.
