The HTC 7 Pro is a new addition to the Windows Phone 7 range of smart phones. This is the very first WP7 Phone with a sliding keyboard and this is obviously most beneficial for business people. If the crucial features are well designed, the HTC 7 Pro will mostly likely have commercial success as well. The design of the keyboard has been drawn from the TyTN II in which the keyboard slides from underneath the screen and then creates an angle on the screen which is notable as it provides easier viewing when typing on a flat surface or when holding the phone. The weight and dimensions of HTC7 Pro is not too bulky considering that it packs a sliding keyboard. The HTC7 Pro looks solid all over with a metal back, plastic body and chrome finish on the screen edges. There are not many buttons and slots on the sides. It has the quintessential volume rocker, headphone connector and mini USB port. There are 3 buttons below the screen to navigate the phone features. When it comes to storage capacity, the HTC7 Pro only holds 8GB with no micro SD Slot to expand memory. Overall, HTC 7 Pro is a very solid and robust phone that you can use for your business work and some regular phone functions. Enjoy these nice pictures of HTC 7 Pro courtesy of unwired

The talented folks at Eltima have released version 2.0 of Syncmate. With new SyncMate 2.0 by Eltima Software, all Mac users can easily synchronize their Macs with Windows Mobile devices, Nokia S40 and other Mac computers, Google account and back up all data to Online Storage Account.

SyncMate is still offered at two Editions: Free and Expert. SyncMate Free Edition allows syncing iCal and Contacts between Mac and supported devices/accounts.

SyncMate Expert offers additional sync options and allows syncing iTunes, iPhoto, Mail, separate Folders, Notes, ToDo's, Time, Bookmarks and lots more between Mac and supported devices/accounts. The Expert edition allows you to directly install CAB file from your Mac. The Expert edition will cost you $39.95.

Commentary: Microsoft never thought of releasing Activesync for Mac OS X. This opened gates for the 3rd party developers to come with applications. Syncmate has made best use of this opportunity and is offering both free and paid versions to the Mac users.

Waze is the first provider of free driver-generated maps and real-time road information. Roads are dynamic and change every minute, but today's maps and GPS devices fail to reflect this, leaving drivers in the dark as to what's really happening on the roads right now, and how it affects a particular driver's choice of routes to a specific destination. Waze is taking an innovative approach to address this problem, empowering drivers everywhere to share real-time driving data and build a constantly updated driving map, from the road map itself, all the way to traffic and even free available parking.

Right now, the application is in Alpha and is available for FREE! Give it a go fellas!

According to this article, Dell is in talks with the China Mobile to launch its first smartphone in China. Although, it is not a new news/rumor of Dell getting into the smartphone business, but we always thought they would targeting US market in first place and not China. I hope Dell is well acquainted with the zillion mobile-phone designs that can be found in China. They will have to come with something that stands out from the Cheapo $80 phones. Also, since the Dell is targeting a Asian market, it would make more sense to come out with a device with resistive screen and not capacitive like the iPhone as the Asians prefer to use the stylus for data entry (try entering Chinese characters via fingers on a capacitive screen and you will understand what I mean). Most of the online rumors are pointing towards a Windows Mobile device. Windows Mobile platform is not new to Dell as their now-retired Axim line used to use Windows Mobile.
