It seems as if HTC HD2 never gets enough of its snapshots and reviews. Now it gets reviewed by areamobile, who find the multi-touch device quite better considering the Windows platform.

Grab the quick synopsis:

“The remains unmatched advantage of Apple is the perfect software ecosystem that was created by the company during the past two years. Download and buy music and programs from iTunes and App Store are simply unbeatable. But if one sees the gigantic high-end mobile phone from HTC besides the iPhone, then it is suddenly aware of the many drawbacks of compulsory binding to the PC’s iTunes software, the rudimentary Bluetooth support, the rigid arrangement of the user interface, the camera without flash that is not replaceable battery – but especially the high price and the adhesion contract with a network operator.

It has been approvingly accepted with the knowledge, the best phone in the world in your hand and hold. But the competition is the development deficit made up. The HTC HD2 marks the beginning of a new generation of high-end smartphones, the Apple phone can suddenly look very old. The user can rejoice, because he is finally faced with a choice between different smart phones and operating systems, even if he has high standards.”

Windows Mobile 6.5 at Samsung Omnia, HTC needs a ‘serious’ inspiration

17 September, 2009 Posted by priya As HTC (0) Comment

The folks at Samsung hold a surprise- a Windows Mobile 6.5, surely a music to the ears. Now the news comes from a Dutch customer claiming to receive an official e-mail from Samsung regarding the confirmation of the soon-to-be released OS on the Samsung Omnia i900. No word on the release date yet, but the whole approach seems very pragmatic as against HTC. Have a glance at what a user from samsung-omnia.org got:

“In your email you ask the question if Windows Mobile 6.5 will be released for the omnia. We can confirm that this is coming, however the exact release date is not known yet, therefore we advice you to keep an eye on www.samsungmobile.com.

Though free update will be available for some of the HTC smartphones, still the Samsung move is much appreciated.
