Windows Mobile Marketplace gets an app, MANGLER for automated testing of apps
Now here’s an application to test applications – Mangler, being sponsored by WinMob blog. The Microsoft Application Verifier (AppVerifier) reviews the app while its running. An App needs to be discovered with respect to heap corruption. Mangler’s here to exactly do that. It helps in scrutinizing the defaults of an app that may not be recognized easily.
Some pre-requisites that an app must have before its finally approved:
- should not crash, fail or break into debugger
- should be free from invalid pointers associated with the main executable.
It diagnoses leaks in-memory, handle and GDI(Graphics Device Interface) objects. So, here’s an app making other apps safer and very authentic.
