Microsoft is soon going to make the Windows 7 official in few days from now, but what about Windows Mobile 7? Well, we have some tasty Windows Mobile 7 news for you all. Microsoft is going to release RTM release of Windows Mobile 7 in the month of April 2010. This means that to see the final version, we will need to wait till September or October of 2010 to see Windows Mobile 7 on our devices.

Without a doubt, Microsoft itself must be feeling bad about the publicity they got after the release of Windows Mobile 6.5, which is a dot upgrade. We think that Microsoft has not made ANY substantial, improvements since Windows Mobile 5. Infact, Windows Mobile 6, also did not bring anything special to brag about. Let’s hope Windows Mobile 7 improves the condition of Windows Mobile as a OS.

The folks at Samsung hold a surprise- a Windows Mobile 6.5, surely a music to the ears. Now the news comes from a Dutch customer claiming to receive an official e-mail from Samsung regarding the confirmation of the soon-to-be released OS on the Samsung Omnia i900. No word on the release date yet, but the whole approach seems very pragmatic as against HTC. Have a glance at what a user from samsung-omnia.org got:

“In your email you ask the question if Windows Mobile 6.5 will be released for the omnia. We can confirm that this is coming, however the exact release date is not known yet, therefore we advice you to keep an eye on www.samsungmobile.com.”

Though free update will be available for some of the HTC smartphones, still the Samsung move is much appreciated.

It has become quite an interesting ride for the Sprint users- tit-bits about the smartphone keep on wandering the news box. The Sep 3 release date was recently certified by a screenshot. But now here is another that claims the unveil date to be Sep 8. Apart from an increased wait, other con is the price, i.e., $599.99;that appears quite on the higher side when compared to the Verizon version.

Look’s like folks at Microsoft are doing the SWOT analysis of late because they have become very serious with their competitor’s strategy. The giant which displayed losses this financial year, is pretty much going in for some serious strategy development. The rumor is from the Taiwan Mobile Market that indicates Oct 1 as launch date of Windows Mobile 6.5 while mid of Q1 of 2010,i.e., Feb as the release date of Windows Mobile 7. The MS may battle with Android first by releasing the 6.5 version at a cheaper rate in Oct while targeting the iPhone-based platform in Feb by introducing Windows Mobile 7. The strategy may be out of blue for many, but Microsoft’s actions will determine the real word. [...]
