AIS has launched a rugged device that runs Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. This rugged PDA is powered by the good ‘ol Marvell PXA270 624 MHz processor that used to power windows mobile devices released 3-4 years back. It has a 3.7-inch QVGA display (you can opt for VGA). It has 256MB for storage and 256MB RAM that should be more than enough for running industry standard apps. Of course, you get Wi-Fi , Bluetooth, GPS and 3G radio. As expected from a rugged PDA, it sports plethora of ports: Two USB type A connectors, USB1.1 (Host) One USB mini type B connector, USB1.1 (Slave) One RS-232 One RS-232/422/485(optional) One RJ-45 for Ethernet One CF slot One stereo headphone jack One microphone jack One DC-IN connector One Micro-SD slot Priced at $1899, it certainly is the most expensive Windows Mobile device out there. [official product page] Priced at $1899, it certainly is the most expensive Windows Mobile device out there, but phones as secure as this never come cheap.
