Windows Phone 7 customization by Nokia: A good decision?
It has been stated that one of the evils of software and carrier relationships is the extent in which the carrier can customize the use of the OS and that is half the problem with Android. Windows Phone 7 is great since it has robust user interface and performance and if you let manufacturers to tamper with it might dampen its functionality and appeal. It seems like Microsoft has gotten soft on Nokia as they have given Nokia the opportunity to explore customization for WP7. Given that Nokia has a bad record of keeping up to date with the mobile industry; it is safe to say that customization might not be a good idea. Just to the hardware and sell the product and let WP7 be WP7.
