It seems as if the supply management people at Verizon weren’t equipped with the fact that the HTC Touch pro 2 may become that much of a hit with people. The smartphone is being sold like hot cakes at Verizon stores where the stock gets finished before it rests on shelves.
The OS on it hasn’t been upgraded as of now- its Windows Mobile 6.1. So, its quite a race to get the Touch Pro 2 version of Verizon.

Now here’s a news straight from the horse’s mouth. It’s Verizon that’s ready to battle in the race with its version of HTC Touch Pro 2 that includes the tempting 3.5mm headphone jack. The price quoted is $199 with a $100 rebate and can get on your hands from Sep 11. Sprint and T-mobile should revise their competitive strategies for now.
The smartphone that has GPS and WiFi connectivity is available both online and in stores. The OS is still Windows Mobile 6.1 professional. The upgrad to Windows Mobile 6.5 cannot be seen until next month when the all new version gets on floors. The phone is inclusive of 288MB RAM and 512MB ROM. Full QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 MP autofocus camera and Touch Flo 3D interface are other attractions. Get the full news here.

All the gossip-mongers can have rest for a while. The Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 gets an unveil – yes, its Aug 12 and you can have your hands on the smartphone ‘officially’ now. Touching the US land for the
first time, T-mobile may disappoint its customers without offering the 3.5mm headphone jack(though its competitors like
Verizon are very much into it).

The reviews on the handset speak out on its pros like better battery-life, 3.6 inch WVGA display, the spacious QWERTY keyboard, better web experience and not to forget-Touchflo 3D UI. The 3G and WiFi enabled phone has been scrutinized with some cons too with respect to its camera, processor, RAM and storage(access to micro-SD card’s a bit weary.) For a detailed discussion, visit
Engadget,
Gizmodo
Anyway, the
price leak we got you gets a nod – yes it’s $349.99 for the two-year contract(quite on a higher side for a T-mobile customer.) The
Sprint version is yet to show up;so, be ready for comparisons. For getting the G-censor handset, visit the
T-mobile website.
