Engadget has posted a picture which looks like would be the next Xperia from Sony Ericsson. Interestingly, contrary to the rumors that the next Xperia won't be running Windows Mobile, this one will surely run Windows Mobile as we were easily able to spot the Windows key on the keyboard. We say this happening when the Sony Ericsson announced that they were not happy with the sales of their first Windows Mobile smartphone, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1. Now, reports are popping up that the Sony Ericsson is going to launch a Google Android phone with Android 2.0 (AKA 'donut'). “It does require a lot of evaluation, as well as a lot of testing, a lot of acceptance from a consumer viewpoint, and there is still some time to go,” CEO Hideki Komiyama said about the Linux-based OS. “Looking ahead, I think that we see this as one of the important operating systems, there is no doubt.” This is such a bad news for Windows Mobile fans, who were waiting for Sony Ericsson Xperia X2.
