Now here’s a news for all the Sony Eric X1 users-get ready to pose for a tug-of-war with X2. When the pics of the ‘to be’ launched Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 showcased on XDA Developers by Nevermind, atleast I thought it to be so.
Here’s a bit of comparison of attributes between the two:
X1 X2
RAM 256MB 512MB
Camera 3.15MP 8.1MP
OS Win Mo 6.1 Win Mo 6.5
Apart from this, X2 is said to have a better processor. So, let’s wait and watch when Sony unveils the Xperia X2. [...]

SONY ERICSSON may be planning to launch Xperia X2 on the 17 of June this month in Singapore. The invitation card mentions "entertainment unlimited", which may be pointing towards the Xperia X2's 8MP camera.
Well, June 17 is not that far and we will find out very soon whether it is Xperia X2 or some random dumb Sony-Ericsoon device.

Looks like Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 will no longer be a device just for a serious business users on-the-go. Some new pictures have leaked which clearly show that it will come with a 8.1MP camera!

Although SONY seems to jumping the OS bandwagon (moving from Windows Mobile - > Google Android), they have not forgotten the current users of the Xperia X1. They have rolled out an update which would give you:
- quicker media panel.
- better texting.
- brigher keyboard.
- better performance
- better signal

X1ButtonMapper for Sony Ericsson Xperia X1

X1ButtonMapper is a little application that focuses on extending the funtionality of the buttons of the SE X1.
For installation, you have to copy the X1ButtonMapperScripts folder of the archive to your root (\) directory of the device. You also need to install MortScript which you can find at Mort's homepage (mort.sto-helit.de). MortScript is a small and powerful application which is often used and mature. After that, you have to start X1ButtonMapper.exe and then the specific key presses will cause the calling of the script files. When you did not encounter any problems (software is still in testing phase), you can copy a link to the X1ButtonMapper.exe into your \Windows\Autostart folder [...]
